Despite the darkness and coldness of the Finnish winter, more than 20 participants from Turkey and our Turkish partners, Ms Banu Alptekin and Mr Ali Koç from Senin Geleceğin and Likya Consulting, had memorable experiences with the first K12 School Innovation Camp organised by KOULU Group in Joensuu. To many participants, three-day programme was a bit short as they wished to discover more about this country and the success factors of its education.
From 9th to 11th December, Turkish participants visited different school levels from kindergarten to upper primary school in order to get a comprehensive view of Finnish education system and its national curriculum. Beside mini workshops led by Finnish expert facilitators, they also enjoyed observing after-school activities in the Pekkala Art School and the Music Conservatory of Joensuu.
The first K12 School Innovation Camp was a success and the Turkish participants satisfied with the programme. Since this was the very first Innovation Camp, we at KOULU Group also gained valuable experiences to continue developing our programme.
Thank you to your first K12 School Innovation Camp participants! We look forward to welcoming the next Innovation Camp participants and offering them knowledge and remarkable experiences.
